Welcome to North Shore Spine and Sport
At North Shore Spine and Sport, we provide in-person, in-home, or virtual appointments to empower you to overcome pain and injury.
We can accomplish this together by learning about your goals, comprehensively discussing your health history and the factors that led to your current situation, evaluating your current physical capacity relative to your injury/pain, and ultimately crafting a completely individualized plan of therapeutic services, strength/conditioning, mobility training, self-care strategies, and indefinite communication/support to put you back in control.
With early morning, evening, in-home, and virtual appointments available, we have strived to create every opportunity to help as many people as possible.

After 10 years practicing in Boston, Dr. Melander decided to bring his unique blend of no-nonsense care to Newburyport and surrounding areas by founding North Shore Spine and Sport.

Dr. Melander and his businesses were honored 4 times as best in Boston. Dr. Melander is an instructor of the Active Release Techniques® soft-tissue injury management system in the United States and Canada. Dr. Melander is a Functional Range Conditioning® mobility specialist, a Kinstretch® instructor, an avid fitness enthusiast, and above all else, Dr. Melander believes that YOU ARE RESILIENT.
